If The Karens of Talbot County Board of Education Feels Upset, You May go to Jail

Joy Andrews (The Karen) with Talbot County Board of Education believes it is harassment for questioning where tax dollars are going.

On May 8, 2025, Georgia Transparency (GT) was arrested at the Talbot County Board of Education (BOE). The day prior GT spoke with Joy Andrews (The Karen), which is Superintendent James Catrett’s secretary. The conversation lasted for approximately 10 minutes before Joy hung up the phone.

Joy AndrewsDuring the conversation, Joy invited GT up to the BOE to speak with her one on one.

On May 8, 2025, Joy stated that GT harassed her terribly over the telephone the day prior. Joy made statements that GT continued to harass her on the phone. Joy claims since the phone call was released in a story it has generated very harassing statements. While GT can’t control how others exercise their freedom of speech and can only be accountable for his.

We pray that Joy gets a thorough investigation into this harassment, as her feelings were most likely hurt. How serious of an offense is it in Talbot County for being in a public space and hurting someone’s feelings. Could there be more arrests made in Talbot County for anyone that has hurt the feelings of Joy and other BOE officials.

GT (Russell) is a veteran that served in the United States Army with deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. The same citizen journalist exercising the same rights he fought for was arrested because Joy Andrews and other Officials felt upset.

Investigator Richard Ousley stated that “I need your help” as he addressed the BOE officials. Could this be the help of telling Richard where GT hurt their feelings at. Did Richard conspire with BOE officials to violate the rights of another. Richard appears that he failed a basic principle in investigating, separating the witnesses before getting statements. Richard stated that GT shook people up. According to Richard Ousley, acting suspiciously and people shaken up is disorderly conduct.

This is a disgrace of how the Talbot County BOE operates. We kindly ask that Joy Andrews, James Catrett, and any other BOE official fill out the form below.
