City of Danielsville Intimidates a Citizen Journalist

Shane Keyros operates YouTube channel North Georgia Audit and investigates local governments around Commerce, Georgia. Mr. Keyros was investigating the city of Danielsville and the Police for the shooting of lady’s dog in her front yard. Mr. Keyros attempted to attend city council meetings and even went to city hall.

On or around July 1, 2025, The Samuels Firm attorney Summer Wren sent Mr. Keyros a Cease-and-Desist letter. Claims of harassment, intimidation, threats, or other action infringing upon the rights of employees of the City of Danielsville, Georgia.

The following behavior was noted in the letter:

            “1. You have made numerous telephone calls from you to City employees wherein you use

obscene, profane, and intimidating language.

2. You have initiated in person confrontations at 10 Government Cir, Danielsville, GA 30633, Danielsville, GA 30633, which have included obscene, profane, and intimidating language and demands.

3. Additionally, and most concerning, you have made threats towards City employees, including telling a member of the City Council that you are “coming for” him.

4. Further intimidating and threatening communications directed at City employees.

5. The individuals subjected to your threatening and harassing communications include, but are not limited to, Mayor Michael Wideman, Tabitha Hill, Karen Oliver, Kimberly Davis, Cleveland Williams, Eric Cook, Abbie Bray, Trevor Higginbotham, Brian Henning, John Davis, Hilbert Amavisca, Clarence Davis, Steve Russum, Nancy Federico, and Dona Miller.”

Summer Wren demanded that Mr. Keyros Cease-and-Desist from any further harassment, intimidation, or threats.

Upon searching Summer Wren’s bar card and license, no documents were found.

It was painstakingly learned through Bubba that “Wren” is now her married name, and her maiden name is “Giles”. Upon searching the Georgia Bar, there was a Ms. Summer Renee Giles and currently employed with Dekalb County Public Defenders Office.

Upon searching public records in the state of Georgia we found that Summer was married on March 29, 2025. Approximately four (4) months have elapsed since her marriage and her license is NOT up to date. However, Wren appears to be sending bogus and intimidating letters stating that the city and/or firm has evidence that could get Mr. Keyros charged with a crime. 

On July 9, 2025, Summer Wren responded to GT’s open records request. Item number 3 states “The City has no records responsive to your request.” Placing the intimidation that the city does have such evidence to prosecute or sue civilly. Therefore, is Summer Wren “Giles” using a name that can’t be searched via the Georgia Bar to intimidate people with the potential of criminal charges?

Also, the city possesses no active bar card for the name Summer Wren. Summer Wren being her now married name for some time now, but the Georgia Bar reflects “Giles”.

Georgia Bar Rule 8.4 States:

(a)(4) engage in professional conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation.
