Lawsuit Filed by Grantville Citizen for Civil Rights Violations

Grantville resident Robert Royce is seeking $150,000.00 from the city of Grantville for alleged civil rights violations. A lawsuit was filed on September 26, 2024, in the Coweta County, Georgia Superior Court (Case # SUV2024001146). Many may know that the same Mayor is already involved in another lawsuit in the United States Court Northern District for similar alleged civil rights violations.

The suit alleges Defendant Proctor partook in associating with a self-proclaimed racist, Proctor referred to himself as the “Great White Hunter”, verbally abusing the only black female city council member, and among other civil rights violations allegations.  The suit also alleges that Proctor referred to those exposing him as “troublemakers.”

Another item listed was Social Media comments referred to as “Transitory Correspondence” which alleges that was deleted without following city policy on the destruction of public records. This was documented from correspondence with the city attorney Mark Mitchell.

Curiosity is how many other Grantville citizens or others outside of Grantville plan to file a similar suit. More details, documents, and video recordings can be found on the Grantville Uncensored Facebook Page.

GT will keep everyone updated as this suit progresses.
