Harassment Warrants Applied for Against Journalist (GT)

Imagine being called a pedophile by city committee member Taylor Phillips. After attempting to mitigate before filing suit, Charles & Taylor retaliate and claim its harassment.

In March 2024, Taylor Phillips was appointed to the city of Grantville Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. Mrs. Phillips spouse Charles Phillips was appointed to the Historic Preservation Commission on the same day.

After the city council meeting concluded some of the attendees congregated outside in front of City Hall for discussion. Mr. Phillips was addressing current city council member Dee Berry. During this time, Mrs. Phillips stated that Russell was a pedophile. Upon confirming such statement, she walked away.

It appeared that Mrs. Phillips was leaving by walking down the sidewalk when she made the statement to go look it up. Such statement of go look up Russell’s records for charges or convictions associated with pedophilia.

Mr. Pickron submitted a notice to retract such statement via electronic email to her email address listed on the application to become a board member. After multiple attempts to mitigate such statements, Taylor and Charles appear to now claim harassment.

On November 8, 2024, both Charles and Taylor applied for misdemeanor arrest warrants against Russell for Criminal Harassment. Will Russell be going to jail for attempting a civil legal action against two a Grantville Committee Board Member. 

A hearing is scheduled for December 02, 2024, at 2pm in the Coweta County Magistrate Court.
